Halloween is the best holiday to scrapbook! There are so many choices and options for creating the pages. I really love the way the stickers have been created to look like old style stickers with the white border. I love everything about this kit, and would LOVE to have it!!

If you're anything like me, you're starting to get things ready for Halloween! Last week I got all of my treats to give the Trick or Treat'rs. I'm going to do them up in little bags and the kids are making toppers for them. I saw some really cute toppers on Pinterest that I'd love to try. I have a new kit this week that is going to be just perfect when making them! I'll have to post a few pictures of the completed toppers for you all to see. :)

The kids have a Halloween party at school on Halloween Day so I'm also making up individual "pumpkin" cupcakes for them to give their classmates. I'm making the cupcakes using my favorite orange spice cupcake recipe. The icing is a whipped cream icing and it's so yummy! I'll be tinting it orange and then using black licorice for the pumpkin eyes and mouth. To get them to school safely, I'll be using clear plastic cups. Just put the cupcake in the cup, wrap in cellophane, then tie with black ribbon! So simple and so cute! Another Pinterest idea. :)

FALL FESTIVAL: All New at GS this week

I say this every month but I'll say it again... I can't believe that it's October and that another month is gone! This year is flying by so fast I can hardly believe it. The kids are all settled into their school routines and they're loving every minute of it. :) I'm really enjoying having my alone time in the morning too. I've been on a cleaning/organizing kick these past few weeks and I'm slowly getting through the house. I started in what we call our "junk room". It's our 4th bedroom that we use for storage. It needs to be organized at least once a month because the kids just won't stay out of there. lol. I've got a million of those big Rubbermaid totes that I store all the important stuff in and then a whole bunch of boxes and bags of junk. I'm trying to get through it one bag/box at a time and throwing away what isn't needed. I've also donated a few garbage bags full of kids clothes to friends so they can use it for their kids. Reduce, reuse, and recycle... right! I finished the living room and the dining room a few days ago and it looks great. Next up... The kitchen cabinets! I've desperately got to organize my pots and pans. I also need to streamline my plastic containers too. I'm missing so many covers and I just know they're hiding in there somewhere! Once that's all done, I'd love to get some painting done before Christmas. The living room and dining room is now one big room since we removed a wall and that needs to be plastered and painted too. Then, I need to paint the kitchen and mudroom. So mush to do and only a few months left in this year to do it!

I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but Fall is my favorite time of the year. I LOVE FALL!!! I love the way the leaves change color. I love the cool, crisp air. I love being able to take a walk with the dog and not be eaten by mosquitoes! I have to get the kids dressed up in their fall clothes and get them outside this weekend for a photoshoot. I try to have one each fall. I have so many pictures from other years that I need to get scrapped and now, I have the perfect kit to use for some of those layouts! LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL: New Buffet Items

I have been so busy trying to get everything together for the kids to get back to school this week! I can't believe that my little guy is about to head off to Kindergarten and my little princess is going to grade 1! Emma picked out the cutest backpack with matching pencil case and lunch bag and once Aiden had seen it... he wanted one like it too but in blue! It was just perfect for me too because they we're only $8.88 each at Walmart! That's an amazing deal considering if I had bought them the sets they had originally wanted, it would have cost about $35 each! I had a lot of supplies left from a great sale last year, so I didn't have to buy much for them. It only cost about $25 each! BONUS!!! My parents bought them new shoes for wearing in school and I picked up new back to school clothes for them both. Now, we're all set to get on that bus in a few days!

I am sooooooo looking forward to having those few hours alone in the morning after they're gone to school! I've got big plans to get ahead on some designing and to finish up some quilts I've been working on. I'm making one for Emma's bed and one for Aiden's too. Then, I have to move onto making new Christmas stockings for the family! I saw a cute Pin on Pinterest using old sweaters and jackets to make them and I've got just the perfect ones to use! When I get them done, I'll have to post some pics!

Now... Onto business! LOL. I totally thought I had blogged about all the wonderful New Releases this week for the GS Buffet... LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL, but, as it seems I didn't save the post. Silly me! WOW! What a busy month I've had! So sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while. We took the kids out to my parents for a week and we had a blast! The kids wanted to take a mini-vacation and visit the grandparents. So, I had no internet access for the whole week! Gasp! :) Needless to say that when I got home I had lots of catching up to do. lol.

One of the things on my to-do-list when I got home was to finish my products for August's Buffet at GS. This months theme is so cute and includes something for everyone. Everyone who's interested in sports, that is!

GO TEAM is all about sports! Playing sports, watching sports, having fun with sports! It is probably one of my favorites buffets so far! My main focus is on soccer but I've also got generic sports themed sets too. :) Check out what I've got on sale this month!

Happy Canada Day! Plus and update, new kits, layouts and the GS Buffet!

Happy Canada Day to all of my friends and family in Canada today!

I can't believe that it's already July! Emma has been finished Kindergarten now for over a week and we're enjoying our Summer vacation. :) We had a few days of fog and rain but it looks like it's clearing up now so I think we're going to pack a picnic and take the kids to the playground so they can go nuts for a while. Gotta keep'em active so they sleep all night. lol. The first thing they wanted to do today was make Canada flags. We used some red and white construction paper, glue, and some straws. The kids cut out their shapes and glued them together to make the flags. Then I used some straws as "flag poles" and tapes them to the back. It was so much fun for them and kept them busy for a while. :) Here's a little pic of their creations.

I know that I've been a very neglectful blogger and I'm going to try and post more often. :) I have some cool freebies planned for giveaways this summer and I hope that you're going to love them!

Since my last post, I've started a new healthy living/weight loss program and I've got to say, I'm really pleased with the results so far. I'm cutting back on all the junky foods I eat and I'm exercising too! I started talking short walks and now I've trippled the distance in just a few short weeks. I've lost quite a bit of weight but I don't how how much in pounds though. I didn't weigh myself when I started but I have gone down in my pants size from a 22-24 to a 20! I am sooooo proud of myself. Each day has been a struggle and I've splurged a few times too many, but I'm trying to do my best and it's working for me! Yay!

I just knew that if I was serious about changing my life like this, I would need a cool kit to scrap some layouts with. I searched through digi-land but couldn't find anything that I really liked.... so.... I created my own! Yay! I'll be posting another update in about 2 weeks. :) I also plan on offering an add-on to the kit each month with new elements and papers to match the kit. That way I'll have fresh layouts each month!
