Hey All! Hope you had a great week and you're about to have a great weekend!!! This last week has been tough for me. The kids were sick, I'm still sick and now the Hubby is too. And i'm NOT a good sick person. I like to rest and sleep and rest.... but with 2 kids, that's kinda difficult. I just want to crawl under the covers and not come out until this darn cold has left my house. My Hubby made us a wonderful pot of homemade beef soup yesterday so hopefully eating some of that will help drive this cold out of my system. He makes the BEST soup EVER!!!

And like so many more of you, we got hit with all this snow the past few days. I think we've gotten close to 50cm's the last few days. It would be so great if the kids could get outside to play in it but with everyone being sick, all we can do is stare at it through the window. LOL. So...

I'M A SUNSHINE STUDIO DESIGNER!!! (Plus a qp freebie)

I am such a bad blogger lately!!! Shame on me! Things have been super busy for me and my family these last few months. I just haven't had the time to keep up on things like I should have.

On November 26th, my wonderful Grandfather passed away suddenly. He was almost 89 years old and I miss him so much. He was in relatively good health at the time of his passing so it came as quite a shock to the whole family. I'm going to make a scrapbook album all about him very soon as a memorial to the amazing life he had.

Then, before we knew it... it was Christmas!!! I couldn't get into the mood for the holidays but knew I had to make it special for the kids. Emma and Aiden had an amazing 1st Christmas in our house. We hung our stockings by the fireplace on Christmas Eve and waited for Santa to arrive! When the kids woke up on Christmas morning, they couldn't believe all the presents that Santa had left for them. We opened our stockings first, then had breakfast, then opened the presents. They had so much fun! I tried telling them that not all the presents were from Santa, that some were from us and the rest of our families but as far as they were concerned, EVERYTHING was from Santa!

As you may or may not know, Elemental Scraps closed it's digi-doors on New Years Eve! I was so sad that i'd have to leave there and find a new place to "peddle my wares". NEW RELEASE FRIDAY

It seems like it's been years since i've posted anything on here. I'm so happy to finally be back online after the whole flood fiasco. We had to move down with my parents for a few weeks until our house was ready for us. We finally got to move in here on October 18th! Yay! We're so happy to be here and the kids are loving having their own bedrooms again. They were getting quite tired of having to share a room. Unfortunately, we didn't have internet until just a few days ago, so you can only imagine how happy I am to have it back!!!

During my downtime I spent so much time with my family. It was wonderful! We had a beautiful Autumn here in Newfoundland and we did as much as we could to enjoy it. The Summer here was very rainy this year so we spent most of it inside. The kids were going crazy and acted accordingly. They were so happy that we spent so much time outside once we moved down with my parents and since we moved into our own house. I've got hundreds of photos that i've been trying to get scrapped too. I'll post some of my layouts for you to see soon. Or, you could check out my personal gallery at ES HERE

It's beginning to look a lot like christmas... and that means that it's time to get your holiday cards ready to give to your friends and family. I'm so sorry that I don't have a freebie for you today but we had a "little" natural disaster here in Newfoundland this week. Hurricane Igor decided that he wanted to destroy my home and leave me homeless!!! Tuesday morning due to the torrential hurricane rains and wind, we were flooded out of our home. We lost all of our furniture and alot of our posessions. We saved everything we could but we are now officailly homeless. We are temporarily staying in a local hotel while waiting for the roads to be repaired so we can get to my parents. The main bridge was destroyed that links my hometown to the rest of the world. Hopefully that'll be fixed today and we'll get to get out of this hotel. There was so much destruction in my little town and too many people have lost their homes, posessions and in a few cases, they lost their lives. I know how hard it has been on us to be in this situation, but there are so many more who have been devastated by this. Please say a prayer for everyone in Newfoundland who were affected by the storm. Thanks.
