WOW! What a busy month I've had! So sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while. We took the kids out to my parents for a week and we had a blast! The kids wanted to take a mini-vacation and visit the grandparents. So, I had no internet access for the whole week! Gasp! :) Needless to say that when I got home I had lots of catching up to do. lol.

One of the things on my to-do-list when I got home was to finish my products for August's Buffet at GS. This months theme is so cute and includes something for everyone. Everyone who's interested in sports, that is!

GO TEAM is all about sports! Playing sports, watching sports, having fun with sports! It is probably one of my favorites buffets so far! My main focus is on soccer but I've also got generic sports themed sets too. :) Check out what I've got on sale this month!

Happy Canada Day! Plus and update, new kits, layouts and the GS Buffet!

Happy Canada Day to all of my friends and family in Canada today!

I can't believe that it's already July! Emma has been finished Kindergarten now for over a week and we're enjoying our Summer vacation. :) We had a few days of fog and rain but it looks like it's clearing up now so I think we're going to pack a picnic and take the kids to the playground so they can go nuts for a while. Gotta keep'em active so they sleep all night. lol. The first thing they wanted to do today was make Canada flags. We used some red and white construction paper, glue, and some straws. The kids cut out their shapes and glued them together to make the flags. Then I used some straws as "flag poles" and tapes them to the back. It was so much fun for them and kept them busy for a while. :) Here's a little pic of their creations.

I know that I've been a very neglectful blogger and I'm going to try and post more often. :) I have some cool freebies planned for giveaways this summer and I hope that you're going to love them!

Since my last post, I've started a new healthy living/weight loss program and I've got to say, I'm really pleased with the results so far. I'm cutting back on all the junky foods I eat and I'm exercising too! I started talking short walks and now I've trippled the distance in just a few short weeks. I've lost quite a bit of weight but I don't how how much in pounds though. I didn't weigh myself when I started but I have gone down in my pants size from a 22-24 to a 20! I am sooooo proud of myself. Each day has been a struggle and I've splurged a few times too many, but I'm trying to do my best and it's working for me! Yay!

I just knew that if I was serious about changing my life like this, I would need a cool kit to scrap some layouts with. I searched through digi-land but couldn't find anything that I really liked.... so.... I created my own! Yay! I also thought that it would be a great motivator for me to post some pictures of me as I go through this process. If you're a fan of Inspired Designs on Facebook, you've probably already seen these. I have an album on my fan page that I'll be updating with my layouts. Here they are!

 

Each month I'll be updating my layout with current pictures and journaling about what I did that month. I'll be posting another update in about 2 weeks. :) I also plan on offering an add-on to the kit each month with new elements and papers to match the kit. That way I'll have fresh layouts each month! We're going to go looking in tide pools and have a BBQ for lunch. The kids love to BBQ hot dogs and have macaroni salad.
