I can't believe that it's already July! Emma has been finished Kindergarten now for over a week and we're enjoying our Summer vacation. :) We had a few days of fog and rain but it looks like it's clearing up now so I think we're going to pack a picnic and take the kids to the playground so they can go nuts for a while. Gotta keep'em active so they sleep all night. lol. The first thing they wanted to do today was make Canada flags. We used some red and white construction paper, glue, and some straws. The kids cut out their shapes and glued them together to make the flags. Then I used some straws as "flag poles" and tapes them to the back. It was so much fun for them and kept them busy for a while. :) Here's a little pic of their creations.
I know that I've been a very neglectful blogger and I'm going to try and post more often. :) I have some cool freebies planned for giveaways this summer and I hope that you're going to love them!
Since my last post, I've started a new healthy living/weight loss program and I've got to say, I'm really pleased with the results so far. I'm cutting back on all the junky foods I eat and I'm exercising too! I started talking short walks and now I've trippled the distance in just a few short weeks. I've lost quite a bit of weight but I don't how how much in pounds though. I didn't weigh myself when I started but I have gone down in my pants size from a 22-24 to a 20! I am sooooo proud of myself. Each day has been a struggle and I've splurged a few times too many, but I'm trying to do my best and it's working for me! Yay!
I just knew that if I was serious about changing my life like this, I would need a cool kit to scrap some layouts with. I searched through digi-land but couldn't find anything that I really liked.... so.... I created my own! Yay! Each month I'll be updating my layout with current pictures and journaling about what I did that month. I'll be posting another update in about 2 weeks. :) I also plan on offering an add-on to the kit each month with new elements and papers to match the kit. That way I'll have fresh layouts each month!
