I really enjoyed the whole "COLORS OF MY LIFE" theme last month so I decided to create a little something for our Smorgasbord. I used the blue color and If I do say so myself, I love how this one came together. In fact, I'm loving this sooooo much that I think each month I'm going to add another color or two to the mix and make this a monthly thing. Sound good? lol. Plus, I just loved the color palette for CHOCOLATE KISSES so I just had to pull together some amazing valentine themed packs for this one! I'm going to use this kit to create Valentines for Emma to bring to school for her class this year. So cute!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM INSPIRED DESIGNS

I don't know what's going on with Blogger lately, but I've been scheduling posts and they've been disappearing!!! I had a super nice one for you, wishing you all a Merry Christmas and I even had a Facebook freebie post all set up, but... DISAPPEARED!!! Anyhoo... Let's see if I can remember it all today! lol.

First off, I have to wish you all a belated Merry Christmas!!! I hope that you had a great Christmas and got to spend it with your family and friends!

Our Christmas was wonderful!!! For the first time in 3 years, my Dad got to spend Christmas with the family. He works offshore on an oil platform and has worked the last 3 Christmases. This year, he finally got to stay home. On Christmas Eve, my parents and brother came over and we had lots of things planned for the kids to do for Christmas. We baked Blueberry cupcakes for Santa, put out carrots for the reindeer, sprinkled reindeer food outside for the reindeer, hung up the stockings and had the kids set up the snacks for Santa and Co. They had so much fun!!! After the kids went to bed, we put the gifts under the tree and then we had a few drinks with my family. It was a great way to spend Christmas Eve. :)

On Christmas morning the kids were so excited when they came out and saw the gifts under the tree! We gave the kids a new VTech E-Reader each, some ZhuZhu Pets and hot wheels, plus, lots of stocking stuffers and such. The rest of the family gave them lots of awesome presents too but their E-Readers are by far their favorite presents. :) I gave my Hubby a new Sirius satellite radio system and he surprised me with a new KOBO VOX COLOR E-READER!!!!! I am the happiest wife in the whole wide universe!!!! I've been wanting one forever and he was such a sweetheart to surprise me with one. I love you Hubby!!!

We had a huge family dinner with Turkey and veggies and cake for dessert. It was sooooo yummy! The kids finished everything on their plates so it must have been super delicious! lol.
After dinner, my family went home and we were all alone until the 26th when my in-laws came in for the night. It was so wonderful to have them here too! The kids were so happy! Later that night my SIL and her Hubby came up for drinks and a few games of cards. We had several visitors throughout the day and night too. It was so great to see everyone!

Now, it's the day before New Years Eve and I'm cooking BBQ pork chops for supper and downloading some free e-books off the KOBO site! I love free e-books. I've bought several books that I needed to finish off some series I'm reading too. I think I'm in love with my Kobo Vox! lol.

Dear Friends,
As some of you may be aware, a terrible thing has happened to 9th&Bloom today. The designers and co-owner, Lizzy, were victims of fraud. Our store is closing immediately. I don't know where I will be selling designs in the future, but I will be designing and selling!

Please take a moment to read this official statement from Lizzy.

"Dear friends, as many of you are aware, today we at 9th&Bloom encountered a problem processing our Paypal payments. I contacted Paypal to sort out the discrepancy and discovered that unbeknowst to me and to our amazing designers, the shop and its paypal account were not set up as they should be. The shop never acquired its own Taxpayer Identification Number from the Internal Revenue Service. Since having such a number is a requirement for the Paypal account that the shop uses, Paypal has frozen our account and we are unable to process payments. Prior to this point in time all of our Paypal interactions were handled by another owner who failed to inform me of any issues regarding the account.

Because we cannot operate as a shop without a Paypal account, we must say goodbye to 9th&Bloom; however, as always our amazing staff of creative people, layout artists and designers alike are united and hard at work to reopen a new store with the same wonderful buzz of community and creativity. We look forward to our new adventure with a great sense of renewal and anticipation and hope that you will continue to be a part of our amazing community."

Before I get started here today. I wanted to wish my amazing, wonderful, handsome husband Emmett a HAPPY 11th ANNIVERSARY! I love you Hubby! {{{HUGS & KISSES}}}.

I can't believe that it's Friday... AGAIN! The time always seems to go so much faster for me when it starts getting cold outside. I live in Eastern Canada so it's Autumn for me now and I LOVE IT!!! Autumn is my favorite season. I love how it's cold enough to wear a jacket or warm sweater but not cold enough to have to wear a snowsuit! lol. I absolutely adore how beautiful everything starts to look as the leaves turn color and the evening sunsets get brighter. I live right on the ocean so I get lots of breathtaking sunsets. Here's a pic of one from about 2 weeks ago that was taken from my living room window. BEAUTIFUL!!!

I consider myself a very lucky lady to be able to look out my window and see nature at it's most beautiful. It amazes me that I can sit on my cozy couch, have a cup of tea and watch whales jumping in the bay! Yes... I can watch whales from my window! :) I've got to get some pics of that soon!

As we all know, once Autumn get's here, Halloween isn't far behind. I've got some of my "stuff" ready to get the house and yard decorated for the Trick-or-Treaters. I've got plans on transforming the front porch into a haunted house of sorts. It's gonna look amazing when it's all done. I've got the kids costumes all ready too. Emma is going to be a witch and Aiden is going to be a Ninja. They picked out their costumes when we were shopping last week. I have to check this week for a wig for Emma though. I hope to find one that's got black or purple hair. And, I've already got 2 of the most amazing kits from 9th & Bloom picked out to use for scrapping our Halloween pics this year! The first is Wicked from Amy Stoffel and the second is The Witching Hour from Secret Stash. Both awesome kits! You should totally check them out!

Happy Friday! I hope that you've all been enjoying your week and are about to have an amazing weekend! It's been a super crazy week for me and my family. Last Friday, my Hubby fell down and did some serious damage to his hand. We had to rush to the hospital to get the hand sewn up. The damage was so bad that he had to have reconstructive surgery on Wednesday. The surgery went well and he's taking it easy. He's got to wear a cast for 2 weeks until he goes back to the Dr. to get it checked out. It seriously limits what he can do. He has no movement in the hand and can't do much. I have to do everything for the next few weeks. :( And for any of you who know my Hubby, you know that he does just as much around here as i do. So, i'm left with a lot more to do. I can't wait until his hand heals up. lol.

I don't know what happened to the freebies I had set up for you all this week, but for some reason they've been bumped out of Blogger. Not sure what happened but they're no longer here. I'm going to try and get some links for them and get them posted again. What a pain. lol.

So... What do you think of my little blog makeover? I LOVE IT! I used elements from my kit Goodnight Sweetheart to make the header and the rest. And, did you notice my new logo? I hinted to some huge changes for Inspired Designs this week. Well... The biggest of the changes is that I'm going to be taking a break from kit designing for a while. I'm going back to my roots and designing wordart exclusively for one of my favorite stores... 9th & Bloom! :) I am so excited to have the chance to work with some of the best designers in the business, in one of the best stores in digi-land! Yay!

Happy Saturday!!! I hope you all had a great week! As I mentioned yesterday, Emma started Kindergarten and I was totally freaked out about it! I can't believe that my baby is in school. She's loving it too! When she got off the bus she was all smiles and was full of stories about her first day! I was so happy for her. Here's a little pic of my princess on her first day of school. I just love her snazzy new glasses!

While she was gone to school and things we're a little quieter here, I got to finish up my latest kit IN THE KITCHEN. And as you can guess from the title, it's a kitchen/cooking/baking themed kit. I've been wanting to create one for quite some time now and one of my CT girls requested it too. So... here it is! :) I really love the brightness and vibrancy of the reds and blues, don't you? WOW!!! What a busy few weeks it has been! I've been so busy that I totally neglected my blogging. Bad Blogger!!! :) Today is my 35th birthday! Happy Birthday to me! Also today is the first day of Kindergarten for Emma! I sent her off on the bus today and I've been so lonely ever since. I can't believe that my baby is going to school. It was strange being here with Aiden, just the two of us. It's going to take some getting used to. At least it's only for half days. :)

I've been asked so many times if I like to scrap with my own kits. Well, the answer is really quite simple... YES!!! I always try to scrap a few layouts with each kit that I create. Here are 2 that I finished up yesterday. The first featured pictures of my kids playing by the ocean last fall. The second features pics of the Hubby, the kids, my step-son and fiancee, and my sweetie little grandbaby, Madeline or as we call her, Maddy! She's a sweetie!

My little girl, Emma, had her last kinderstart session and she got her "graduation" certificate! I was so proud! I can't believe that she's going to be in Kindergarten this fall. I fell totally in love with the colors for this months Color Splash! I also love that I finally got a pic of me and the Hubby! Yay! The second layout is very special to me because my Pop passed away in October. I have so many amazing memories of the time that I got to spend with my Grandparents over the years. I miss my Pop. Sigh.

My Baby Is 5 Years Old!

I just love the dark, rich colors with the bright cream accents. It really helps bring out the richness of the other colors.

I am so tired today! I've been having a hard week in the sleep department. My little guy has been having nightmares and wakes up screaming every few hours. It's so hard to control him when he's like this. He screams and kicks and can't be comforted at all. His newest thing is crawling under the bed and screaming! Then, once he is calmed down, he wants to get in bed with us and I usually end up taking my pillow and going in his bed so I can get some rest. He snuggles down with his Daddy and goes straight to sleep. I toss and turn for the rest of the night until the dog wakes me up at 6:30, wanting to go out and pee. I am so tired!

Hey All! Hope you had a great week and you're about to have a great weekend!!! This last week has been tough for me. The kids were sick, I'm still sick and now the Hubby is too. I'M A SUNSHINE STUDIO DESIGNER!!! (Plus a qp freebie)

I am such a bad blogger lately!!! Shame on me! Things have been super busy for me and my family these last few months. I just haven't had the time to keep up on things like I should have.

On November 26th, my wonderful Grandfather passed away suddenly. He was almost 89 years old and I miss him so much. He was in relatively good health at the time of his passing so it came as quite a shock to the whole family. I'm going to make a scrapbook album all about him very soon as a memorial to the amazing life he had.

Then, before we knew it... it was Christmas!!! I couldn't get into the mood for the holidays but knew I had to make it special for the kids. Emma and Aiden had an amazing 1st Christmas in our house. We hung our stockings by the fireplace on Christmas Eve and waited for Santa to arrive! When the kids woke up on Christmas morning, they couldn't believe all the presents that Santa had left for them. We opened our stockings first, then had breakfast, then opened the presents. They had so much fun! I tried telling them that not all the presents were from Santa, that some were from us and the rest of our families but as far as they were concerned, EVERYTHING was from Santa!

NEW RELEASE FRIDAY

It seems like it's been years since i've posted anything on here. I'm so happy to finally be back online after the whole flood fiasco. We had to move down with my parents for a few weeks until our house was ready for us. We finally got to move in here on October 18th! Yay! We're so happy to be here and the kids are loving having their own bedrooms again. They were getting quite tired of having to share a room. Unfortunately, we didn't have internet until just a few days ago, so you can only imagine how happy I am to have it back!!!

During my downtime I spent so much time with my family. It was wonderful! We had a beautiful Autumn here in Newfoundland and we did as much as we could to enjoy it. The Summer here was very rainy this year so we spent most of it inside. The kids were going crazy and acted accordingly. They were so happy that we spent so much time outside once we moved down with my parents and since we moved into our own house. I've got hundreds of photos that i've been trying to get scrapped too. Hurricane Igor decided that he wanted to destroy my home and leave me homeless!!! Tuesday morning due to the torrential hurricane rains and wind, we were flooded out of our home. We lost all of our furniture and alot of our posessions. We saved everything we could but we are now officailly homeless. We are temporarily staying in a local hotel while waiting for the roads to be repaired so we can get to my parents. The main bridge was destroyed that links my hometown to the rest of the world. Hopefully that'll be fixed today and we'll get to get out of this hotel. There was so much destruction in my little town and too many people have lost their homes, posessions and in a few cases, they lost their lives. I know how hard it has been on us to be in this situation, but there are so many more who have been devastated by this. Please say a prayer for everyone in Newfoundland who were affected by the storm. Thanks.

I hope that you all had an amazing week! Mine was awesome! My Hubby came home on Sunday and the kids were so excited to see him. I didn't think that my son really missed him so much because he didn't show it like my daughter did. But when the hubby got here, Aiden gave him so many hugs and kisses and was so excited that he was home. He spent all day clung to him like glue. We were so happy he was home. I'm not used to be apart from him.

Wednesday was my birthday! Yay for me! I got some really great gifts from my family. From the kids I got a new purse and wallet. The Hubby gave me 6 new books that i'm just itching to read!!! He also treated me to a new hairstyle from my favorite salon, Orchids. I've been styling my hair straight and with an inverted bob this last few years so I was ready for something new. I've had a bang for the last 10 years or more so I decided I would get a short layered style with bangs! A big change for me but it looks pretty good. I've got to get some good pics taken so I can show you all what it looks like. For my celebration supper, we had homemade spagetti and meatballs with garlic and cheese bread. It was yummy! And of course, birthday cake to follow. YUM-O!

Happy Monday Morning! I hope that you had an awesome weekend. Mine was pretty uneventful. It rained here for most of it so we mostly stayed inside and had some family time. On Friday night I had a killer headache so that left me mostly out od the loop for the night. On Saturday it was still there so I was popping Motrin all day. Sunday was better. Headache was almost gone, Hubby cooked a huge turkey dinner and my parents came to visit. It was a great day.

I just found it a few nights ago so I downloaded the whole first season. The second season starts next week so I wanna try and catch up before it starts. Do any of you watch TRUE BLOOD? I can't wait to see how this season progresses. I've read the whole series and am totally addicted to the books. I can't wait to see the weres in season 3.

2 NEW KITS.... some updates and info too

I'm so sorry that I haven't been keeping up on my blog posts lately... Bad Designer!!! LOL. Things have been busy for me the last few weeks. I just had Emma's 4th Birthday party last week. Can you believe she's 4 years old!!! She's growing into quite the young lady too. She loves to dress up and play with dolls. She loves to have her hair done and she just adores shoes and purses too...as should any self respecting little girl should... lol.

I didn't think that this would be happening to me again, but, my computer crashed again. It was back in September that my last one crashed and my hubby bought me my e-machine. Well... 2 weeks ago, it crashed. Luckily I have warranty so I was able to send it back to the manufacturer for repair. I had backed up everything on the computer except for Photoshop, Scrapbook Max, and NERO. That really sucks too. I had just gotten a bunch of new fonts, shapes, styles, patterns, and brushes that I had just loaded in and didn't have the time to back it all up before the computer crashed.

I should have the computer back within 2 weeks from Friday so then I can get back to designing. I am in the process of creating a new kit and several new wordart packs. I'm in the planning stages of a new "pre-made party printables" line too. That one's gonna be fun. I just did Emma's party in a Princess theme and love how it turned out. So... keep an eye out for my upcoming releases.

As some of you know... there was a major problem with the web hosting comany that both of my stores Divine Digital and Enchanted Studio Scraps use. They had a "problem" and caused an outage at my stores and several others. Enchanted Studio Scraps is back up and running but we're still waiting to get thing back at Divine. I had just released 2 of my new kits that week but didn't even get to promote them before the outage. Well... here they are.

I can't believe that we've had 4 days of sunshine... all in a row... with no snow... no rain... no drizzle... no fog! Yay! For any of you who know anything about Newfoundland weather, this is a rare occurance in the Winter. It make me yearn for spring. Seeing that Spring is just around the corner, i've created a new kit that's just perfect to help usher in the arrival of spring.

It's name is FRESH AS SPRING and it's packed full of bright colors that'll be sure to get you in the mood for those bright spring days. Hello Everyone! It's so great to be back! For those of you who will stumble upon this blog in your daily digi-scrapping search, and for those of you who are already familiar with me and my products, i'm Crystal and I used to design under the name Inspired Mommie Designs. I took a break from designing and scrapping when my family moved 6000 miles across the country from Alberta back to our home province of Newfoundland. (A beautiful island on the most eastern part of Canada). With the stresses of the move, finding a place to live, and just getting "comfortable" with being back home again, I kinda lost my design mojo. After a little break and a lot of life changes, I decided that it was time for a name change and a fresh new style. So.... I would like to introduce you to INSPIRED DESIGNS BY CRYSTAL!

I still plan on offering some great wordart freebies and maybe even some little extra special gifts for you along the way. I'm still working out the kinks with my new blog, my new style and my new/old store. I hope that you will all continue to read my blog, snag my freebies, and buy my products.
